…the first thing you need to do is argue with your cell phone carrier.

I’ve used Verizon since the mid-ninties back well cell phones would barely fit in a purse. And up until two years ago I’ve never had an issue. Now, every four to six months I have to call customer service because my online login and password stops working.

Each time I get the same vague answer…I don’t know why that happened…

Well, I can tell you why…its because your service sucks.

Then it takes twenty minutes on hold to fix it again! At the end of the call they ask me if I want to upgrade or get a new phone…hell to the no! My contract is up on August 13th and at 12:01 am on that date, I’m switching carriers.

Whatever happened to customer service?  Thank you has become passe, holding open a door almost never happens…or they drop the door in your face. How many times have you been walking through the grocery store and you’re walking with purpose, no browsing, no glancing – straight ahead movement and someone walks in front of you and you have to skid to a stop? What is up with that?

I know. It’s sad but I sound like my mother. LOL!!!

Oh yeah. We’re in a battle with our time share company right now. In January they inexplicably disabled our account, claiming we had owed some kind of $30 fee since 2008. Well, they’d never notified us, and they’d continued to take money from us for maintenance fees and property taxes, so it’s not like we were deadbeats.

At first they said they couldn’t figure out why the account was inactive, and no one could figure out how to activate it again. It all revolves around some mysterious manager named Rueben, to whom we’ve never spoken directly. Then we were told that in order to reactivate the account, we’d have to pay a reinstatement fee of something like two grand.

You can imagine DH’s reaction to THAT! (See “hell to the no”, above.) Extortion, anyone?

Anyway, they finally got the account straightened out, but when we went online to make a reservation, guess what. We have no points. POOF! They’re gone and no one knows why OR HOW TO FIX IT.

Boy were we naive to get into this scam back in the early ’90s, but we’re stuck with it now. We probably can’t get a tenth of what we paid for the damned thing.

Okay, I’m going to sound like my mom, why can’t people just do their jobs right the first time? If you go after them enough they will cave in but think of all the time you and they’ve wasted when you finally get to that point! It’s so annoying.
