Greetings Readers!
   It's been a while since my last newsletter and I do apologize. Life has been incredibly hectic lately (as usual) and I have to ask myself, when to you cry Uncle? I mean, if you're running around all the time and constantly feeling rushed, what fun is that? Yes, there are times when you will be rushed but all the time, everyday? I mean, thats just nuts, IMO.
   At what point do you stop and smell the coffee?
   This is something I've been wrestling with lately. I made the decision to work for myself to cut stress OUT of my life and guess what - I'm now as stressed as I was working a day job. Is that messed up or what?
 
   No answers here but I'm working to slow my life down and actually take time off so that's my recommendation to you. When was the last time you took the day off and did what YOU want to do?
   Guess what - I bought a Kindle! Amazon's new ebook reader, the Kindle, is utterly fabulous. Now if they can drop the price to under 100.00 I'm going to go out on a limb and say that it would revolutionize the publishing industry. It's easy to use, the pages look just like paperback pages, you can shop on your Kindle and you can surf the web. The possibilities are endless and I love it so much I sleep with it under my pillow. I might need to invest in a drool proof case!
   I've had lots of fun releases in the past few months. First was two releases in June - The Power of Love and Sacrifice, the reprint of the original Paradox I. In July, Deep Waters (second Paradox title) comes out with the third to follow in August, Stone Hearts. Woot! My bookshelf is straining from all the books that I've released this year so far...but wait, there's more!
   In late October, Winter's Daughter is coming out in paperback and....drumroll please...and I just sold a new novella. The title is Seducing Jane Porter and the release date is November from Samhain Publishing. I don't have the specific release info yet but the moment I do I'll let you know.
   Looking for a new author? Run, don't walk over to: http://www.thesamhellion.com/free.htm and there are three Samhain titles up for grabs. The first half of the book is free and if you like the book, the file contains links to purchase the book. If you don't like the book then you're off the hook! Since one of the titles is mine...I know you're just gonna love them. :)
   Finally, I received the rights back to the last four Shadow Dweller titles. Seeing that the publisher had no plans to put them into print, I seized the opportunity to get them back. I will be doing an extensive rewrite and I'll keep ya'll updated on where those titles end up. How is that for good news?

Grilled Halibut with Cilantro Garlic Butter
I've been cooking more fish lately in an attempt to lose some junk in the trunk! I admit I've never been much of a fish gourmet as I've learned that when fish goes wrong, its near to impossible to bring back. But this receipe is super simple and I little butter adds a wealth of flavor to this dish.
 
4 (6 ounce) fillets halibut
1 lime, cut into wedges
salt and pepper to taste
3 cloves garlic, coarsely chopped
1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro
1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
 
Preheat a grill for high heat. Squeeze the juice from the lime wedges over fish fillets, then season them with salt and pepper.
 
Grill fish fillets for about 5 minutes on each side, until browned and fish can be flaked with a fork. Remove to a warm serving plate.
 
Heat the oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic; cook and stir just until fragrant, about 2 minutes. Stir in the butter, remaining lime juice and cilantro. Serve fish with the cilantro butter sauce.
