Readers - welcome to the brand new WilderInk newsletter! I hope you enjoy the new format and 'home'. I love this mailing service as it takes most of the work out of my hands. All I have to do is format and send. Trust me, the less I have to do, the more likely I am to DO it. :)

So what's going on in my world? I've been traveling quite a bit. In early March I attended the Celebrate Romance conference in Columbia, South Carolina. It was a great conference and I had a fabulous time as usual

I also spent a week in New York City attending a marketing conference. In general I'd say the confernece was a bust but nothing can ever really be bad when you're in New York. I went to the show twice and it was just grand. I saw my all time fave, RENT (it's closing in June so rush out, go NOW) and YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN. Megan Mulally from Will and Grace plays Elizabeth, Dr. Frankenstein's fiance and she is just smashing! Roger Bart (he played the crazy pharmacist opposite Bree) is the lead and he is one of my favorite all time actors. He was brilliant.

That's pretty sad when you attend a confernece and all you can talk about is what you did outside of the conference. :)

Next up is the Romantic Times Conference in Pittsburgh, PA. The dates are April 16 - 21st and here is the link. If you can't make the conference, the booksigning is HUGE so try to make that as its great fun. I will be there signing two new paperbacks, IN THE GLOAMING and SUMMON THE MASTERS. Both are sexy and guaranteed to please.

I haven't been writing lately and it really has me cross. Writing is my life blood and it is what keeps me sane when the world around me isn't. I admit I've been struggling with depression and lately it has had the upper hand. That said, spring is coming and once the sun comes out I know I'll feel better. So if any of you have been feeling blue, hang on as the sun will return! (And I can't wait)

I'm still working on a site redesign including a members only section. I hope to have this up and running sometime in May. Now I'm going to rearrange my library and see if that will kick up some creativity. :)

In The Kitchen

This is a dead easy comfort food dish. To make things easier, eat it in your pajamas so you can snooze afterwards. :)

1 whole chicken

Rice

Celery & carrots, chopped

Canned chicken broth

Salt & pepper

Garlic & onion powders

Place chicken, celery, carrots and spices in a pot and add water - cook until done, approximately 45 minutes depending upon the size of the bird.

Remove chicken from stock and place in refridgerator until cool to the touch. Once it is cool, remove all the meat and dice.

Measure out two and one half cups of the broth into a clean pot. (make sure you get the carrots and celery too) Add two and one half cups of chicken broth. Add the meat then bring to a slow boil. Then add two cups of rice. Cook for 15 - 20 minutes.

Serve with green salad (if you're trying to be good) or fresh bread and butter. :)
